My man does it for India

I'm not making this up but I had a hunch when I woke up this morning that I'd see something along the lines of 'Ishant has Sri Lanka on the mat'. My man didn't let me down. I was greeted by this headline - Ishant inspires series-levelling win. Just look past Jamie Alter's irritating opening para in that article. BTW, the dude is Tom Alter's son. I suspect he works in Cricinfo mainly because he's a novelty being an American-Indian (now that is a rare breed). His writing creeps me out and his ball-by-ball commentary is over the top. Enough digressing. Alter warrants a separate post filled with scorn. Now back to the cricket.

Ishant not only had SL on the mat but India sealed the match far sooner than expected. I know Harbhajan bowled well too. And this just in, India demanded to bowl with the Duke ball and got their wish. After getting criticized after last match here and elsewhere, Bhajji lamented to the board that he wasn't too happy gripping the Kookaburra and Pawar threatened to pull the Indian team out of the series if Bhajji's wish wasn't granted. So a special allowance was made for India. That's some clout. OK, now THAT was all made up.

On a separate topic which we must discuss later, I think we are witnessing the passing of the baton of Indian cricket from Bombay/Karnataka to Delhi.
