This is ridiculous

In the latest clampdown on ICL or anything remotely connected to it, the BCCI has barred Indian players from signing up for English counties that sent players to the ICL !!! Piyush Chawla is the biggest loser here for he had a great opportunity to learn from the greatest exponent of his craft - Shane Warne himself. BCCI's boneheaded decision will ensure that.

Where is the BCCI going to draw the line? BTW, if Indian cricketers should not have anything to do with counties sending players to the ICL, why not apply that rule to Indian cricket itself? Hampshire sends players to ICL, so you dont consider players from Hampshire for the IPL. Shane Warne should not have been allowed to play in the IPL at all. BCCI needs his star-value. Unfortunately they didnt think he'd be much more valuable to the development of Chawla.

Think about how the BCCI applies the rules. It didnt matter if a players is drug-tainted. It doesnt matter if a player comes from a 'tainted' county such as Hampshire. BCCI needs their star-value. If these counties and the ECB had any backbone they'll sue the crap out of BCCI on unfair trade practices.
