On the 25th anniversary of the best ODI innings ever played by an Indian and on the impending 25th anniversary of India's greatest triumph on the cricket field (atleast in ODIs) a couple of questions to all of you:
1. Is Kapil the greatest ODI cricketer ever produced by India? If not KD, who else?
2. Is the Indian team of the mid 80s (that won the World Series as well) the best Indian ODI team ever? How about the current Indian lineup?

I will make it simple -
1. Yes!
2. Yes!
As far as the best batting lineup goes, when I see things from a distance I feel the 2003 World Cup team had the best lineup. We had the "Big three" in their prime, and the (then) young guns were firing on all cylinders. For me to anoint the current lineup ahead of that, I will need to see some performances consistently.
